Welcome to the Clarksburg Civil Air Patrol
Civil Air Patrol is a federally registered non-profit organization performing many services and volunteer efforts all over the United States. We are the United States Air Force Auxiliary, and provide opportunities beyond belief for cadets and senior members. From search and rescue, to orientation flights, to model rocketry, Civil Air Patrol provides the opportunity to grow and become the person you want to be!
The Clarksburg Composite Squadron is located at the North Central West Virginia Airport and is commanded by Capt Steve Butera. As a composite squadron, we have both a Senior Member (18+ yrs) program and a Cadet Member (12-21 yrs) program.
We are also a flying squadron, which means that we have a corporate aircraft (Cessna 182) available to us right here in Bridgeport, WV. We use this aircraft for both Emergency Services (Search and rescue, disaster relief, etc.) and Cadet Programs (Orientation flights for CAP cadets). Approved members can also fly the aircraft for proficiency and, with approval, for training toward advanced pilot ratings.
Seniors and Cadets meet every Monday night from 7-9 p.m. You are invited to attend our meetings to learn more about the Civil Air Patrol or you can navigate our site for more information. If you would like more information on the Squadron, feel free to E-mail Capt Steve Butera.
